November 2025 in review

This is the thirty-sixth post in my Month in review series.

New Orleans

Riya and I flew to New Orleans, Louisiana, and spent time together and visited the French Quarters for a week. We shared an Airbnb with some friends.

• Cafe Rook.
• Mint Vietnamese restaurant.
• Brunch at Saba.
• Dinner at Patula.
• Mrs. Rau gallery.
• Superior Seafood and Bar, charboiled oysters.
• Guided tour of Cemetery No 1.
• Antoine’s restaurant.
• Vampire Café.
• Parc Audubont.

Riya flew back to Santa Fe, and I to Winnipeg.

As soon as I got back home, I continued unpacking, shopping for furniture, and working from the co-working space.

The house was very dirty, our boxes from the storage locker had brought in a mice infestation. There was a lot of physical strenuous work to do. Even if I hired help for moving and deliveries, there was a lot of repairs and deep cleaning needed in the house and I was doing physical work whenever I was not at work. November was rough.

• IKEA, Furniture Surplus, Structube, JYST, RONA, Superstore, Office Depot, antiques and thrift stores, Home Depot, & others.
• Purchased winter boots at Canadian Footware.
• A lot of deep cleaning and repairing in the house.

I was able to eliminate the mice infestation.
