February 2026 in review

This is the thirty-ninth post in my Month in review series.

Okay! We’re all caught up! By which I mean I wrote and organized pictures for 20 hours over the past 4 days to produce ‘August 2025’ to ‘February 2026 in review’ (8 months posts, 23 photo galleries, ~780 pictures and captions).

Writing and photography feels important to me, as does having regular habits. It gives me a sense of connection through art and storytelling, that motivated me to keep journaling and taking pictures.

But it means so much more when there is a published piece! It also helps me organize my notes and photo collections.

Month activities

While our time is consumed by work, house work, paperwork, and errands, we find a way to have a city life with a little activity or two every week.

• Michael’s, IKEA, Home Depot, Superstore.
• Home decor, building shelves.
• Shopping at Polo Park mall.
• Cafe Seven.
• Seoul Korean BBQ.
• Yafa Cafe, Palestinian cuisine and culture.
• Walked on the icy Assiniboine River.
• Valentines spa at Thermea, and dinner date at 529 Wellington Steakhouse.
• Zaytoon, Middle Eastern cuisine.
• Le Festival du Voyageur à Saint-Boniface.
  • Yearly festival of French, indigenous, and Métis cultures.
  • Riya tried maple taffy.
  • Manitoba has a very interesting history I am enjoying learning about it in the formation of Canada!
