March 2026 in review

My monthly series

Winnipeg aerial view.

This is the fortieth post in my Month in review series.

Winnipeg is starting to feel like home.

I have been here for 5 months. And I’ve seen Fall and Winter.

When I go on a trip, and I fly back home, and I arrive at the airport, there is a reduction in my muscular tension. The sounds, pains, and troubles of the World are now distant and muffled by kilometers of snow plains.

When I reach my house, it feels like a home, warm, neat, functional, and relaxing.

Month activities

This month free time was spent in majority on light renovations in bathrooms, and painting and decorating the guest room.

  • Dinner date at Deer + Almond.
  • Sleeping Beauty performed by the Winnipeg Royal Ballet company.
  • Shopping at Polo Park mall.
  • We had dinner with friends at Jane’s culinary academy restaurant.
  • Walk at The Forks in winter time.
  • Delicious strawberry matcha lattes whenever we see them.

Nashville

I went to Nashville, Tennessee, to meet with the Professional Services team. I think we were about fifty people in total. We had very productive team meetings, workshops, presentations and team building activities.

  • Team dinners.
  • Solo visit at the Frist Art Museum.
  • I presented a lightning talk (8 minutes) on coding practices.

I made a video montage of bar bands of Bourbon Street.

Vancouver

24 hour trip to Vancouver with my wife for some visa related appointment.

  • Walk on the river side.
  • Art museum, café.
